This course offers the study of physical, geological, and chemical characteristics of the oceans and of the world, as well as a survey of marine life of the Mid-Atlantic region.

This course provides a study of atmospheric systems and global climate. Major topics include: changes in atmospheric composition over time, interaction between the oceans and the atmosphere, weather, climate and climate change, and current environmental issues such as global warming and ozone depletion. Learning experiences at (or in cooperation with) NASA Langley may be included in the course. NOTE: Students enrolled in this course who have not previously taken the Earth Science SOL test must take this test.
